Hey wankers at the BH3. I don't have any of your e-mails but I'd like to get some serious planning started on this. I think Steeple made mention of a lake he thought would be a good place, however I don't remember what it was. Any idea who I should call there to find out about their group campsites?

Knicker Dicker also made mention to find out when such "raciest" activity was (such as the Hood to Coast) and any other things people could use as excuses not to come. We want as huge as a turn out as we can possibly get. Thinking late July or early August...

And since I'll be leaving Central Oregon soon after this shindig I want to go out with a big fucking bang so lets get going on it!

Hood to Coast August 27th & 28th

So what about August 6th, 7th, and 8th?

The week before would be better...30th/31st/1st. Several hashers from BH3 (and hopefully COH3 as well) will be hashing on the 7th for the "2nd" wedding.

But the Cascade Lakes Relay may be a problem but that's a race after all. Any hashers taking part in that don't deserve to be a part of the bend-er.

Cultus Lake would be a great place to take over.

I'm not sure what the second...er.....3rd wedding is, but could it be incorporated into one of the hashes/ the festivities out there on that date?

You don't think Cultus will be too taken over by people around that time? I know that is normally a pretty busy lake. And do they have any camp site areas that are away from the masses at all, so our big loud parties wont get us in trouble? I just don't know that lake very well is why I'm asking.

Any other back up ideas incase I can't get us in there?

Nevermind, Boise is in agreement, along with a few other people I've talked to, for the July 30th weekend.

I'll try calling the forrest service tomorrow asking about group site out there.

Was Dad saying something about maybe Elk Lake too?

If we can shuttle people by boat to the other side of Cultus, then that's the place to go. Dad mentioned Elk as well but I don't know if the variety of trails is as good.

So I talked with Steeple, I think your dates will work fine. Cultus is interesting... you're right, it is a busy lake and we used to hold running camp parties out there on a somewhat secluded area of the lake but there were other campers around... Half Pint was thinking of little cultus which might be a more secluded lake... either way Dry slot could probably bring a boat and we could shuttle cargo/people to and from the camp sites that would be secluded. Lets keep the discussion going on this!

DAD has a boat also. Cultus can be really busy in late July. I vote for Elk Lake. LOt's of running room across the Hwy. Plus, we know the resort owners. If we set it up early we could get a base cabin and plenty of campsites. Also live music on Fri and Sat nites through the summer at the LOdge.

Hmmm I don't care WHERE we do it exactly as long as we have room for everyone camping and places to hash. I'd like to settle on a place soon though.

Also, we're getting a logo for the COH3 kennel drawn up, and we were thinking about making shirts for people who come to this....so do you guys already have a logo or any ideas to mesh the two together? Or ideas for a shirt design having to do with a bend-er. None of us can draw, so if you guys can that you would extremely wonderful.

I'll talk to the people at Elk Lake. Plenty of camping space. Last year it was the other campers keeping us up, so it's our turn now. I will be one of the Hare's as I hike up there a lot. Bring your boat, kayak, swimwear and running shoes. This could be the best ever!
