Hi All,
I sent out a notice regarding hopes for a HUGE C.O.R.K. (and friends) team this year for the jingle bell 5K. Every year we have lots of fun. This year to be no exception. We want to raise lots of cash for this worthy cause - helping those with arthritis AND we want to be able to do our most awesome costume - the Twelve Days of Christmas. That's right if we all pull together we can entertain the streets of Bend with 12 drummers drumming, 11 pipers piping, 10 lords a leap'n, 9 ladies dancing, those eight maids a milking..... all the way to our lone partridge in a pear tree. I am handling the costumes, I just need you all to show up to fill them! If interested go to the jingle bell run website and SIGN UP ASAP
there is a link below. If you have problems with that you can google jingle bell 5k run bend oregon and the site will come up!
Team Name: C.O.R.K. runnings
Team Captain: Tracy Miller

if you have any questions please call me Tracy at 970-426-9512 (my cell)

We are doing this as a fun run - so turtles are welcome (why I can do it each year!). We really need the membership of CORK to come out of the woodwork for this one. We are expecting help from Bend's two hash house harrier groups, also hoping to get some COTA people involved. KIDS, PARENTS all are welcome. We will be absolutely rockin if we can put together our team of AT LEAST 78! Come on out for the fun of it and for a good cause!
YO' Captain DETAILS ABOUT THE EVENT BELOW.
Tracy

PLUS if you know of anyone tha would like to be on our team please tell them to join us.! Spread this notice to your email list of potentials! thanks for your help!
LORI - please submit this to the CORK site AGAIN! thanks!

Team Mates!

Once again I am captaining the C.O.R.K. (central Oregon Running klub) team for Bend's Jingle Bell 5K run/walk on Saturday December 5th. I am hoping to put together a huuuge team. You don't have to be a C.O.R.K. member (or even a great runner) to join our team. I am reaching out to all those who would like to participate. We will be running as a group, for fun, to enjoy the day - NOT for time (oh well, at least not a fast time!) This will be a fun event and we'll also be able to raise money to help prevent, control and cure arthritis.

Please visit my Web page to learn more, join my team or make a secure, online contribution to help our team reach our goal. Together, we can make a difference for the 46 million Americans with arthritis.

So, lace up those sneakers, and join me!
My goal is to get at least 78 people (need this many for the costume - the twelve days of Christmas!!!!) would love it if we could have an even 100. I am handling making the costumes, so don't worry about that - though any creative people that like to make things can help if they choose. DO PLEASE pass the word around to friends, family, co-workers, neighbors... They can join the CORK team to help fight arthritis!
Thanks! Please sign up as soon as possible, need to co-ordinate our twelve days!
